Many parents worry that if their child has no prior experience, they may not be able to keep up in an art class. In reality, children’s art learning is meant to be built from the very beginning.

The most important aspects of learning art are not technical skills, but observation and self-expression. Every child is naturally creative—they simply need the right guidance to help that creativity grow.
Having no prior experience can actually be an advantage. Without being limited by fixed ideas or standardised ways of thinking, children are often more open to imagination and creative exploration.
Beginner learning is usually developed in three stages:
Free Drawing Stage – building interest, confidence, and enjoyment
Basic Shape Training – learning circles, squares, lines, and simple forms
Themed Creation Stage – beginning to express stories and ideas through art
Drawing is a natural process that develops from simple to complex. Having no foundation is not a disadvantage—it is often the best place to start.
